Alaafia Holistic Health is led by Jamel Cherry, a certified Holistic Health Consultant, herbalist, spiritual life coach and third-degree reiki master. He studied holistic health and nutrition and received his certification as a holistic health counselor at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, the largest nutrition school in the world. He studied African holistic health and traditional African medicine with various healers and received his certification as an African healer in African Science and Healing by Dr. Kofi Asare, noted Ghanian healer and herbalist.
He studied indigenious African spiritual technology and divination through an apprenticeship under the direction of Malidoma Some, African shaman and scholar. With this training he learned how to conduct healing rituals, construct spiritual energy transducers, and offer spiritual counseling using the principles of indigenous African spiritual technology.
He is a registered lifetime member of the American Association for Drugless Practitioners. and a member of Siura Wellness, a collective of holistic health practitioners.
HOMAGE
We stand on the shoulders of those who came before us. It is the African tradition to always give homage to those forces who have supported one's journey. In that light I give homage first to God Almighty, known as Olodumare in the ancient Yoruba language, all the beneficient spiritual forces, my ancestors, elders, parents, and teachers. And last by not least I give homage to my ori, the God given creative consciousness and potential which follows me where ever I go! May I live up to the greatness you have invested in me.
